Pay $5,250 for $7,500 toward a private trip of $15,000 or more for your whole party, for travel from January 10 to March 20, 2027, or from November 1 to December 15, 2027.
For most visitors, Italy is a summer place, and in summer it’s wonderful. The months from November to March feel different, though, and they belong mostly to the people who live here. It’s the season of the olive harvest, the first Christmas lights, Carnival, and Sunday lunches nobody is in a hurry to end. These are the months when Italy has the most time for its guests, and this November we’re offering five vouchers to travelers who’d like to see it then.

The months we look forward to
November is olive harvest month. The mills run long days, trattorias put out bread with the new oil, bright green and peppery, and most of us wait all year for it. Chestnut sellers set up on street corners with caldarroste in paper cones, and in Piedmont the white truffle hunters go out with their dogs, often at night (they’ll tell you it’s so nobody follows them to their best spots).
La Scala in Milan opens its opera season on December 7. The next day, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, is when many families put up the tree and the nativity scene, and town windows light up almost overnight. Up in the Alps, the Christmas markets have been open since late November, with wooden stalls in the main squares and mulled wine against the cold.
After the holidays, museum lines are about as short as they get all year. The fresh-squeezed orange juice at the café counter is often red, made from Sicilian blood oranges. In February, Carnival fills bakery windows with fried pastry ribbons called chiacchiere, frappe, or cenci depending on where you are, and by then the almond trees are blooming in Sicily.
A gentler winter than you might expect
Winter in central and southern Italy is milder than in Chicago or New York. Rome averages a high of about 54°F in January, the snow mostly stays in the mountains, and on a clear day you can still have your coffee outside in the sun. It does rain, more in November than in January or February, and we plan the days with that in mind.
Some places largely close for the season, Capri and most of the Amalfi Coast among them, so we build trips around what stays open. The days are short, too (in December the sun sets before 5 p.m.), so we keep the longer drives for the morning.
The people we’d like you to meet
When guests write to us after a trip, they usually mention people by name, most often a driver or a guide, and sometimes the family that cooked with them. We know that in the off-season those people have more time, and we can ask them for more of it. Depending on where you go and when, your trip might include:
These are examples, not a fixed menu. If you’d like to travel this way, request your voucher below, and we’ll plan the rest with you.

Who we are
Most of our team lives and works in Italy, and we’ve been planning private trips here for more than twenty years. We have our own local partners in 18 of Italy’s 20 regions, and every year our planners add about 60 new experiences, each one tried in person before we offer it.
“Our favorite activity was a private cooking class in the home of Chef Andrea. See Italy makes it very obvious that these people love their country and they are very happy to share it with you.”
“The people and connections you have established are the best Italy has to offer!”
“It was such a joy to feel like friends were only a phone call away.”

- The voucher is sold by Laura Massoni Travel Inc., doing business as See Italy Travel (California Seller of Travel Registration No. 2098725-40), and has a value of $7,500 USD. It can be purchased for $5,250 USD and may be applied only to a private itinerary designed and booked by See Italy Travel.
- Five vouchers are available, with a limit of one per customer. Requests can be submitted from November 23, 2026, until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on November 30, 2026, and payment for a request received by that deadline may be completed afterward. Vouchers are allocated in the order in which payment is completed. Each payment link is valid for 24 hours from the time we send it. If a payment is received after all five vouchers have been allocated, it will be refunded in full.
- The voucher may be applied only to an itinerary with a total cost of at least $15,000 USD per booking, including accommodations, calculated before the voucher is applied. Flights, taxes, and travel insurance do not count toward this minimum.
- All travel dates must fall between January 10 and March 20, 2027, or between November 1 and December 15, 2027.
- For both travel windows, the itinerary must be confirmed, and the required deposit paid, by January 31, 2027. If this deadline is missed, the voucher expires and its purchase price is not refunded.
- The voucher is valid only for new bookings made directly with See Italy Travel. It cannot be used for bookings made through travel advisors or other third parties.

- The voucher cannot be exchanged for cash, and any unused value is not refunded. If you cancel your trip, the purchase price of the voucher is not refunded and is retained as a cancellation fee. If See Italy Travel is unable to offer an itinerary within the travel windows, the purchase price will be refunded in full.
- The voucher may be transferred to another traveler, provided you tell us in writing who will be using it.
- All bookings are subject to availability and to the See Italy Travel booking terms and conditions. If these terms conflict with the general booking terms, these terms apply.
