I was born and raised in Italy, and have lived in San Diego since 1992. This has allowed me to share my Italian culture and heritage in great detail with my American friends and family, in a way that has made them excited to experience the environment I grew up in. As well as understand the world they are entering from the Italian point of view.
I have been working in the travel industry for over two decades. I started as an airline reservation agent and moved through various areas of the industry. In 2011 I realized that I wanted to get back to my roots, and it wasn’t until that year that I made the decision to concentrate only on Italy, turning away business to other parts of the world. It was only after making this decision that I realized how much I loved sharing my homeland with clients.
I was born and raised in Rome where I graduated at the University of Rome with a Bachelor of Arts in Languages and a specialization in Travel and Business management. I studied ballet for over a decade and danced professionally in Italy and the United States. I moved to San Diego in 1998 and became a certified as travel planner in 1999. I worked for many years at Travel Experts as the company’s principal planner for Italy and Europe trips. Since 2006 I have focused on Italy only as a travel planner.
I know the importance of proper planning when traveling to Italy. Because I have the knowledge and experience to make your client's trip a success, you will be in expert hands. Their trip to Italy will be a relaxed and enriching experience that will transform into beautiful lifelong memories.
I'm an itinerant soul. Born and raised in Boston, I've lived in places far and near, New York, Bologna, San Francisco, Rome, Chicago, and Florence.
What thrills me about travel is the chance to live — however briefly — in someone else's world, to taste what locals eat, to traipse down well-walked streets and to grasp how others make sense of the people and places around them.
I joined See Italy Travel because I wanted to share my Italy with others. I first went to Italy in 2001. More than a decade later, the warmth and the beauty that I glimpsed there still draws me back. This is the Italy I want to share, an Italy defined not just by monuments and museums but by moments forged together: the slow passeggiata through town or the meal where strangers become co-travelers. An Italy made up of people and not simply sights to see.
